Canine Chiropractic is the basis for our wellness plans. The Central Nervous System controls everything in the body. We will usually start with a Canine Chiropractic exam and adjustment, branching into other modalities in the more complicated cases. Referral for drugs and surgery are always the last resort unless necessary.

To be healthy it is essential that the nervous system function properly and free from any interference caused by subluxations. Subluxations can cause interference to the nervous system at any point along the spine where the nerves exit. This can adversely affect the function of various parts of your animal’s body, and ultimately its health.

Chiropractic care addresses subluxation. The symptoms of a subluxation range from very mild to severe. The most common of which is pain. Dogs who are in pain may compensate in gait or posture and often refuse to do certain tasks. The following is a list of symptoms that may indicate the presence of subluxation:

Change in the way the animal walks
Behavioral changes (i.e. no longer wants to be pet, or gets agitated easily)
Doesn't want to do things like jump up onto a bed, or jump down to the floor from the bed
Diagnosed conditions, such as degenerative arthritis
Muscle imbalance, spasm or atrophy
Injuries resulting from falls, training, or other activities
Dog is post-surgical
